South Africa returns to the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 with the Special Task Force

South Africa will return to the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026, represented by the South African Police Service Special Task Force, reaffirming its presence at one of the world’s leading international tactical police competitions hosted in Dubai.

The Special Task Force will compete alongside elite tactical units from around the world in five demanding challenges that test physical endurance, tactical precision, teamwork, and performance under pressure.

South Africa’s return reflects the unit’s high level of professionalism, operational readiness, and experience in specialised policing on a global stage.

The seventh edition of the challenge will take place from 7 to 11 February at the Training City in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai, attracting wide international attention and strong public engagement.

A message to the South African community.

South Africans in Dubai are warmly invited to attend the competitions in person and support the Special Task Force. Free tickets are available through the Virgin Megastore website.

Your presence will be a proud show of encouragement as South Africa competes on the global stage.

For supporters in South Africa and around the world who are unable to attend in person, the competitions will be broadcast live on the official UAE SWAT Challenge YouTube channel.

Viewers are encouraged to watch online, follow the action, and show their support digitally.
