It was the day you finally completed the journey of a life well lived!
You know, we love you as our father.
Indeed, you were a good-good father!
You never abandon us,
You're always there for us,
Through thick or thin - You provided for us,
Through ups and down - You protected us,
Through high and low - You educated us,
Through abundance and nothing - You gave us everything.
You were a great man - You taught us life with great examples.
You always make sure there's food in the house,
You always make sure we wore the best of clothes and shoes,
You gave us the best education both in Nigeria and abroad!
I cannot ask life for another father but YOU!
You were soft and kind,
You were strict and a good disciplinarian,
You love us all - Seun, Lolade, Kehinde & myself,
You were the best teacher,
You taught me Mathematics, English and life,
You helped me in the early days of my writing career,
You show-cased your smartness via your investment choices, which we all emulate today.
You will forever be remembered as Deacon Albert Olayinka Olagunju.
The man with words sharper than a sword,
Throughout his life - I never saw him angry,
I never saw him fought,
He was a man of few words and good heart.
Yes, today, you have gone to meet with your wife, Deaconess Christianah Adesoye Olagunju, nee Oni.
Till I see you again; I'm sorry I never came back to see you before you left this world!
Stay glorified at the bosom of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
