In the spotlight: Amy Okonkwo

From playing the game in my high school court at St. Ignatius of Loyola College (Ibadan) and sharing the same court at Adamasigba Stadium and Liberty stadium with,  Rashidate Odun Sadiq; my love for the game never deplete.

The most incredible of it all is the feeling and celebration that our beloved national basketball team (D'Tigress) successfully made it 5 consecutive Afrobasketball champions in Ivory Coast and again we are united as a country - Nigeria.

Amy Nnenna Okonkwo is a basketball player who plays as a forward for Ligue Féminine de Basketball club Bourges. Born in the United States as a Nigerian- American.

She's our sports spotlight of the month of August as Andile Dhlamini is in July.
