Chealex Mpanza is set to drop his first new album titled The Starters on the 14th Of July. His dropping it because of his long existence in the music from 2005 coming to Johannesburg for a promising deal that didn't work out and that cost him to taste the street. After dusting himself out of that situation he started releasing singles that got him the attention he wanted from the street that later grew to even reach the media and even helped to grow his fan base but he still felt empty and unworthy without the body of work attached to his belt. The release of this album will prove himself that his worthy and ready as an artist to play in the professional field with professionals.
The Starters album is a starting point about a journey of a young boy from a complicated place where crime seems to be an option, where dreams are killed, where success is never celebrated and where jealousy leads to people doing witchcraft in order to stop your way. Yet this young boy feels strong and confident that he will achieve his dreams and empower other people with similar situation. A chain of well told stories album from life experiences, relationships and friendships to reach a person from rural, township and urban. It's contains 14 tracks produced by different producers like the award winning producer Tweezy, Dom Cole from USA, Ghost who produced Buffalo Soulja ft Frank Casino 100 Milli and Bash Boi who famously Produced Dats Wassup by Zeus x Aka and Tumi and Hangout by DJ Speedsta. Bash Boi is the dominant producer in the album with two leading singles from the album Uzwile and That's Me. That’s Me is the single that got Chealex Mpanza a bit of commercial shine from debuting on 16 Bars Reloaded Uj FM a week before its release, winning Slikour On Life underdog competition, to being number 1 on 5 FM DJ MsCosmo's Hip Hop show and to be play listed in a number of radio stations like Yfm, Capricorn FM, Rise FM and Tru FM and even got him his first TV appearance on Etv live Hip Hop show Shiz Live. The album only features one lady Ayanda Nhlangothi the great singer, songwriter and performer who has performed in many European countries, who also reached top 4 on the 1st season of SA's biggest music competition Idols. The album is recorded and engineered by super talented producer Silas Beats who has produced for Blaklez and P.DotO.
The album will be available in all digital stores and it will be available for downloads. Physical copies will only be self-hand distributed and 20 people to pre order will receive the album and a Chealex Mpanza branded cap.
