Maturity is not only a function of physical growth or appearance, it is determined by the development of the mind and soul to be able to handle the demands of life and issues.

Identifying a girl can be easily traced to how she speaks, understand things and her perception about life. When you give a girl the opportunity to display herself, you’ll easily recognize her through what she place values on.

Ladies on the other hand are more matured. They were sometimes girls but when they grow, they put away girlish things and face the realities of life. I’m sure you know that life is more of realities than fantasies.

If you are in a relationship with either a girl or a lady of worth, the following signs would make you identify them.

1. Girls buy ‘sweets’ but ladies buy valuables

Are you surprised when I say sweets? Don’t be! Give a girl money even if she’s twenty-something plus, all that she’d spend it on are things of temporal satisfaction. She’s only interested in the present value she’ll benefit from the money.

But ladies, would plan before they spend. Whether it comes as a gift or whatever, she’s prudent in spending. Rather than buy expensive hair extensions or ephemeral things, she’ll think of maximizing the money to yield better returns or use it to procure something valuable.

And if she’s not the business oriented, she’ll save it than to spend it lavishly as girls would do.

2. Girls depend on boys for survival but ladies are independent

Have you seen a boy and girl play? Girls depend on boys to protect them or complement them.

Without boys, girls feel their life is inexistent. They get so lonely and need a man to define their worth.

But ladies are groom to be independent. No that they don’t need men in their lives, they already have a life, engaged or not, they’re not crying for loneliness but are emotionally, financially and mentally stable.

3. Ladies develop their inner beauty but girls concentrate on their outward beauty

I’m sure you have seen the way girls dress to a birthday day party, they’ll be so conscious of their outward appearance than to care for their inward beauty.

They’ll make sure their makeup looks so noticing, making sure the eye lashes, eyebrows and the lipstick are well detailed.

But when you see ladies, their inner beauty speaks volume. Not that they’re bad dressed, being moderate is their focus. They have an inner beauty of a meek and quiet spirit. They don’t gossip, keep malice, use foul languages or live frivolously but they possess enviable character.

4. Girls attract boys but ladies attract men

The way a woman dresses would determine the kind of man she’ll attract.

No man in his right sense, when I mean right, I don’t mean those that determine rightness by their self-will or societal influence, would ask a woman’s hand in marriage when he sees her cleavage, half size of her breast been exposed and the details of her body been revealed.

But boys would come for such girls when he knows that she’ll be used to catch fun and boost his sexual ego.
.
A girl dress to catch attention, impress and look inviting. When boys see such, they know how to approach them and bargain their price.

But ladies of worth attracts real men. They cover all that’s meant to be covered, not giving a thought of lust to those who see them.

5. Ladies groom themselves to become a great wife and mom but girls care to be a woman
All lies in priority! Ladies give priority to purpose and values but girls sees no other worth than to live for pleasure or someone else’s purpose.

Ladies groom themselves to become a good wife and a great mom by living with values and virtues. While single, they work on every aspect of their lives that would make them an indispensable mom and wife.

And they also know that the secret to becoming these lies in been connected to a source. They treasure their relationship with God because this defines the essence of their being.

But girls are living to be used by men. They flaunt what their mama has given them or use it to get what they want. They see themselves as sex object because they know no other worth that a woman is made of.

They’re not bothered their Creator since their creature is their focal point in life.

6. Girls chase shadows but ladies pursue substance
.
There are some things that are worthwhile while some are worthless.
.
The shadows of life are the ephemeral things such as having a wrinkle free skin, a perfect tone complexion, extreme dressing and living a reckless life.

All these and others are what girls chase in life. They’re not bothered about things that are of lasting values.

Ladies of worth don’t chase shadows but substance. When it comes to buying things, they buy valuables; they dress decently, they eat healthy and take good care of their body.

They’re not interested in boys that would flatter or lie to them. They’re ladies men look forward to having as a wife.

7. Girls are domineering but ladies are submissive
.
I know this is a sensitive issue. Girls believe because they have the luxuries of life, they’re of equal rights with men.

They can’t submit to the headship of a man. They want their will to prevail in all situations because they believe their exposed, educated or experienced.

Ladies only submit to men whom they know is worth to lead them. They won’t allow themselves to be ruled by boys who doesn’t know the essence of life.

They respect the divine hierarchy of leadership at the home front. They submit to a man who’s submitted to the lordship of Christ. But girls don’t care whether he has Christ or not.

For how long would you remain a girl? Wake up and face the realities of life. Life isn’t defined by the amount of pleasures you enjoyed in it but by the purpose you are known for and you live with.
